After one year it was time again: new information from the institutes, interesting scientific lectures and personal conversations in a relaxed summer atmosphere.

These are the proven ingredients for our Alumni Network Meeting of the Institute of Applied Physics and Fraunhofer IOF.

About 20 former and roughly same number of current colleagues met at Fraunhofer IOF in the morning of 09.06.2023. After the formal part with some interested follow-up questions on the presented topics "Fiber Laser Technologies for High Power Lasers" and "Nanoscopy in Extreme Ultraviolet" as well as the guest lecture by Dr. Christoph Braig from the Institute for Applied Photonics e.V. from Berlin, the event seamlessly transitioned with the buffet opening into the second part - the "Day of Light". After a refreshment in the sunshine, the world's most powerful laser could be visited during a laboratory tour to the lecture of Dr. J. Rothhardt as well as the construction site of the new research building.
