The University of Brescia welcomes 68 new Erasmus students who will study in Brescia in the second semester of the 2022/2023 academic year and who join the 75 who have already arrived in September.
42 come from European partner universities and participate in the Erasmus+ programme, 22 are students enrolled in the Erasmus Mundus Master (EMM) consortium EMIMEO - Erasmus Master on Innovative Microwave Electronics and OpticsExternal link, a Joint Master Degree program. The EMIMEO consortium comprises the University of Limoges (France), the University of Brescia (Italy), the University of the Basque Country (Spain) and - of course - the Abbe School of Photonics at Jena University. For students, the program offers the opportunity of a Joint/Multiple Master's degree with these partners.
Erasmus Mundus EMIMEO students come from all over the world: Ethiopia, India, Kazakhstan, Tunisia, Morocco, Albania, Bangladesh, Brazil, India, Mexico, Peru, Spain, and Turkey.
The EMIMEO program allows students to obtain a joint degree at the end of their studies, by attending each partner university for a semester. During the second semester, the Brescia university will welcome students who have completed the first term in Limoges and who will enroll in the master's degree course in Communication Technologies and Multimedia. In autumn, some of these students will come to Jena and join the M.Sc. Photonics program.
