Border Left

Former and current colleagues met for exchange and celebrating together.

Our this year Alumni Networking Day took place on Friday, the 16th of June 2017. Andreas Tünnermann greeted the guests personally and informed them about the current developments at the two institutes. Representing Ulrike Schulz, Peter Munzert talked about broadband antirefection through nanostructures. Afterwards, Ernst-Bernhard Kley gave an overview of electron beam lithography for high-end optics at the IAP and Fraunhofer IOF.
During the lunch break, the opportunity was used to exchange with both the heads of department and former colleagues.
Alumnus Claudia Gärtner then reported in an enthusiastic talk about the development of her company microfluidic chipshop.
After a lab tour, the so-called Open House celebration began with all colleagues and their families and friends.

Open Day 2017

For this special day, tow trainees from the ZEISS-GYmnasium have specifically labeled metal boxes as give-aways and attended this event. So they got a little insight into our work and could see how such a career shapes.
